North Rockland Youth Cheer Information

We are so excited about your interest in North Rockland Youth Cheer!!

Season:
The Pop Warner season begins August 1st and all teams will practice the first week in August. Football games will begin in September, as long as our program has associated football teams. Competition season begins in October. All teams will participate in a minimum of 2 competitions with the potential for more. Teams who advance to the Pop Warner National Championship will get to perform at Universal Studios in Orlando, FL!!

Practice:
Practices are 3 times a week for 2 hours. Practices will begin outdoors in August and move indoors in September. Practice locations can vary- these locations include but are not limited to West Haverstraw Recreation Center, North Rockland High School Extension (Formally North Garnerville Elementary), and North Rockland High School. Head Coaches will communicate practice dates and times throughout the season.

Games:
Games are played on Sunday’s starting in September between 8:00am-4:00pm. Game locations and times can vary. Each week the game schedule will be communicated by the Head Coach. All home games will be played at the NEW Town of Haverstraw Recreation Facility.

Competitions:
Competition season begins in October with the Rockland County Cheer Showcase (all teams will participate). All teams also have the potential to participate in the Empire State Classic Championship in October. Competitive teams who place 1st, 2nd, and sometimes 3rd at the Rockland County Cheer Showcase will advance to the Eastern Region Championship held in November. Teams who place 1st, 2nd, and sometimes 3rd at this competition will advance to the Pop Warner National Championship in December. Competition dates and information will be communicated by your Coach as information is released regarding that event.
